Ari is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, therapist and consultant with over 10 years of dedicated and specialized experience in trauma informed and evidence-based victim/survivor services. Those services include advocacy, outreach, crisis counseling, clinical counseling and group services for individuals and families impacted by sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking and sex trafficking. Ari graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and completed a Master of Social Work from The University of Southern California in August 2015 with a concentration in Children and Families and a sub-concentration in Military Social Work. She has over 15 years of experience total in social and community services across government, non-profit and public sectors, with an emphasis on military youth and families, youth in foster care/residential treatment, and survivors of trauma and abuse. Ari has provided culturally reflective outreach to underserved survivors, facilitated prevention education in schools and community programs, and developed and facilitated continuing education/training opportunities for professionals and community members. She is also experienced in providing professional development and supervision to students and victim service providers.
As a therapist, Ari provides evidence-based clinical interventions and treatment to youth and adults in trauma recovery, as well as those who are navigating life experiences (i.e. relationships, health/mental health diagnoses, aging, work, family and grief challenges). As a trainer and consultant, she has 10 years of experience facilitating and presenting trainings in her respective fields and the greater community. Ari has had the opportunity to train and facilitate professional development across disciplines, professions and in a variety of contexts to include community based organizations, government, direct and social service providers, undergraduate and graduate students/interns, victim advocates, schools and more. Ari’s expertise and training focus typically highlights survivor services, crisis and clinical interventions, intimate partner violence (sexual assault, stalking, trafficking, relationship violence) neurobiology of trauma, trauma informed care and victim/survivor advocacy.
