Crime Victim Compensation

Renewed Path Counseling and Consulting is a pre-approved provider with the Department of Crime Victim Compensation, allowing eligible individuals impacted by violent crimes who seek counseling services to have a portion or all of their counseling costs covered by the compensation fund.

- Clients can typically receive up to 20 individual or group counseling sessions through the compensation fund.

- The crime must have occurred in South Carolina and must be reported to law enforcement within 48 hours (may be waived for good cause).

- Clients must complete a one time application for approval.

- The claim must be filed within 180 days (may be waived for good cause)
